Key findings
According to official figures by the Federal Government, 120 crimes were registered by the police as “hostile to Islam” between 1st July and 30th September 2022, 11 of these crimes were attacks on mosques, 10 people were reported as "slightly injured". People who were seriously injured or killed were not reported. The offenses were recorded in the federal states of Baden-Württemberg, Berlin, Brandenburg, Hamburg, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Thuringia. Furthermore, no demonstration against "Germany’s Islamisation" that was alledly influenced by right-wing extremists was counted by the domestic intelligence authorities.

Figures were drawn from the police crime statistics (Polizeiliche Kriminalstatistik) on "politically motivated crime" (politisch motivierte Kriminalität) which includes the category "hostile to Islam" (islamfeindlich). Survey period July 1st, 2022 to September 31st, 2022.
